Mommy & Me—Welcome to the Clubhouse!

Sure, we call it “Mommy and Me” but that’s just because we’re fans of alliteration! The fact is, every child is different, every family is different, every situation is different, and every expectation is different. Our students attend Club Classes with parents, grandparents, nannies, etc. Any adult caregiver is welcome to serve as your child’s designated adult for a Club Class. Since 2004, we have been fine-tuning our Tadpoles, Turtles, Frogs, Toads and Preschool Practice curriculums, tailoring our program to the strengths and challenges of every student we encounter. Club Classes take place in our central classroom, (the Clubhouse!), which is equipped with padded floors and age-appropriate play equipment designed to aid in the sensory development of little ones.

Every Mommy and Me Club Class includes time-tested activities that encourage motor skill development, provide opportunities for socialization and growth, enrich the sensory experiences of our learners, and are tons of fun to boot! The classes within this curriculum can be taken independently or as a sequential program—each level is designed to build upon the one before, for those who make an early commitment to the development of their child.
But wait…there’s more! All students enrolled in one of our Club Classes are welcome to join us for our Open Library & Play hours and Fun Friday drop-in STEAM classes, new to our program in the 2024-2025 school year.

This gentle class is an opportunity for new parents and caregivers to connect with their babies and each other in a calm, low-pressure environment of support and community. Activities will include basic infant massage, gentle movement work and tummy time, music, and a flexible curriculum based on the needs of our participants! Can’t make it out of the house? No problem! Turtles (3-8 months) Mon & Weds │ 1:00pm-1:50pm │ $600 ($570 with registration by 12/20)

For little ones new to independent movement and not yet cruising, this class engages babies through music, instruments, sign language, tumbling, muscle, balance and brain builders, and parachute & bubbles. As infant senses develop and little ones become increasingly able to take in their surroundings, they’ll meet new classmates and enjoy the first social interactions with peers. Parents and caregivers also benefit from meeting other adults with babies in the neighborhood to build friendships and exchange ideas about raising a new baby in Murray Hill!

New walkers and runners will love Frogs Class, which is designed to increase attention spans and expose children to new skills and concepts like story time, fine motor skills, and group activities. We build upon existing language, social/emotional skills, and physical and cognitive development, adding concepts of literacy, fine motor, and higher play skills as we move through the term. Curriculum includes social play, muscle and brain builders, tumbling and jumping, music and instruments, dancing, story time, and parachute & bubbles.

Toads (14-18 months) Tues & Thurs │11:15am-12:45pm │ $1700 ($1615 with registration by 12/20)

Introducing child-led separation in a controlled and familiar environment, our Toads Class is the first step in your child’s journey toward drop-off preschool. Our NYS Certified Teachers support emerging language, social/emotional, and motor skills, and encourage cognitive development and enrichment. As we see our students’ personalities and learning styles becoming well formed, we strive to customize our curriculum and activities to each child’s unique development. Our unique child-initiated-separation program lets adults and children stay together until the child is ready to try parts of the class independently, and helps build confidence and security in young learners. Class curriculum includes social play, circle time, music, instruments, story and reading time, a lunch period (with adult support), art, obstacle courses, brain and muscle building, puzzles, and parachute & bubbles.

Preschool Practice (18-24 months) Mon & Weds │9:00am-11:30am │ $2500 ($2375 with registration by 12/20)

Taught by two veteran preschool and kindergarten teachers, Preschool Practice gives your child age-appropriate experience in a more structured classroom environment so that they can make a seamless transition into a completely separated preschool program. Teachers partner with each child’s caregiver to help build skills of autonomy within a supportive and safe environment, with activities featuring scientific and sensory exploration, pre-literacy and early math skills, art projects, teamwork, sorting and memory skills, puzzles, snack time (with adult support), obstacle courses, story time, and parachute & bubbles.

* All age ranges listed are suggested ages.  We understand that each child is unique and may be better suited to one of our other programs regardless of the recommended ages.  Let’s work together to determine which Wee Ones program is best for your child!
